ABOUT USA TRIATHLON

Why is USAT one-day license required? Learn here what USAT membership provides.

This event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and rules will be in effect, please familiarize yourself with those prior the event: [Race Rule Video Briefing][4] and [Most Common Rules Violation][5].

Every participant must show photo ID and proof either of USAT annual membership, or purchase of USAT one day pass. If one of these is not provided at packet pickup, the participant will be required to purchase a one day pass or an annual membership in order to pick up his or her packet, regardless of whether or not he or she already has a membership. ($15 for adult one day, $50 for annual membership, and $10 for youth annual membership). Please click here for the [Most Commonly Violated USAT rules.][6]

USAT “RACE AGE” POLICY

An athlete's age for any USAT sanctioned race will be his/her age as of Dec. 31 of the current race year. The age he/she is on 12/31 will determine his/her racing age group. If an athlete is due to "age-up" into the next group, it will happen at the beginning of the year, not after the athlete's birthday.

This action aligns regular U.S. age group racing with the method used by USA Triathlon for its National Rankings Program and its Grand Prix Series.

Body Marking

You must be body marked prior to entering transition area.

Athletes are welcome to: arrive at the race self body marked, (sharpies or marks-a-lot work well)

or self body mark at the event prior to entering the transition area (a table with markers will be provided),

or wait to be body marked by volunteers prior to entering the transition area.

See what body marking should look like here

A considerable amount of work and planning goes into planning events like this one and we do so with the best intentions.
